Transforming Lives Through Mobility and Opportunity

We are excited to share the impact of Innova, a nonprofit working in partnership with BeeLine to serve children with disabilities in Guatemala. Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide mobility and dignity through wheelchairs, while also alleviating poverty by using the same components to create market carts for families to transport goods and services.

Utilizing the same employees and materials the Beeline wheelchair factory uses, Innova has designed a utility cart. For every 10 carts we sell, we’re able to provide a child with a custom Beeline wheelchair.

Stories of Transformation

Domercindo is a very intelligent boy, and his smile characterizes him.

His father said that for them it was a miracle. After a long time, they were able to obtain a wheelchair for their son. Different organizations approached them and took photos, but no help ever came. This was the last time they would try to obtain a wheelchair. For the entire family, it was a surprise that Domercindo was finally going to have a wheelchair that suited his needs. They prayed a lot, and finally, God performed the miracle. The father said that they preferred not to receive food donations, that they could get that in different places, but a donation like a wheelchair is something bigger and very helpful.

This little guy got a chair today and he was thrilled. His mother said he had been praying and asking God to walk and this was giving him the ability to be mobile and independent. He was given a little Jesus and we prayed with the family.

Here is where the tears come: when he was handed the little Jesus he pulled it to his chest with both hands and began to sing in Spanish “Jesus loves me this I know…

The woman in the photo is not Vilma’s mother. The girl was given to her as a newborn, but she didn’t know she had cerebral palsy. Months went by and she realized something wasn’t right. Her wish at the time was to have another daughter, and that’s why she accepted her. The visits to the hospital became more frequent until she received a diagnosis. She says it was difficult to take her to therapies because she requires different care, but she loves her daughter even though she is not her blood daughter and that God sent her with a purpose.
